 Michael J Thali, MD, EMBA, current Professor and Chair of the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the University of Zurich (Switzerland) and former chair of the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the University of Bern (Switzerland), is a co-founder of the Virtopsy Project and active advocator of virtual autopsy( He was a resident in radiology at the Institute of Radiology at the University of Bern (Switzerland) and completed a fellowship at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Washington DC (USA). He is editor of the textbook on virtual autopsy The Virtopsy Approach (2009) and the latest edition of Brogdon’s Forensic Radiology (2010). Frank Bekkers (1960) holds a Master in Mathematics from the University of Amsterdam. He has spent most of his career as a security and defence strategy analyst, often in combination with managerial responsibilities. In addition, he has done research and consultancy in other domains, such as industry policy and health care. Darren has worked exclusively in the IT Forensics and E-Discovery field since 2005 garnering considerable experience in the disciplines of Forensic Computing, Cyber Forensics, Data Analytics and Electronic Discovery. Prior to Deloitte, Darren led the EY forensic Technology teams in Dubai and the KPMG team in Dublin, Ireland. He started his career working with the forensic technology teams at but FTI Consulting and Kroll Ontrack in London.

Darren has acted as an expert witness in courts in Dubai (DIFC) and the UK, providing evidence on email tampering in multimillion dollar claims against a multi-national bank and a Saudi based manufacturing firm. In both cases the evidence provided assisted in the claims being dropped.
